IB Results
A student’s progress is monitored by each subject teacher and reported termly.
Formative assessments allow students to attempt new skills and demonstrate recent learning without their performance affecting their overall grade.
Summative assessments such as essays, projects, tests, and exams demonstrate students’ learning and contribute to their overall course grade. The assessment tasks are designed to allow students to demonstrate all the categories of achievement: knowledge and understanding, thinking and inquiry, communication and application/making connections.
IB Results
Despite being a relatively young IB World School, the Canadian School of Milan has consistently achieved strong results that reflect both the commitment of our students and the quality of our teaching. In recent years, our average IB Our Diploma Programme results have consistently exceeded the global average, with several students scoring above 40 points and top achievers reaching 43 or even 44 out of 45. These outcomes are a testament to the supportive environment, personalised guidance, and academic rigour that define the CSM approach to the IB Diploma Programme.
IB results are released each year in July. Students can access their results by logging in with their Personal Code and PIN, both of which are available in the “Plan” section of ManageBac. Results can be viewed through the link provided below.
Legalization of IB Diploma
Some universities, especially in countries like Italy, Spain or The Netherlands, require official legalisation of your diploma through an embassy or consulate. This confirms the diploma’s authenticity for university admission.
If you’re unsure whether this is needed, contact your university directly or speak to our University counsellor.
CSM can assist with legalisation requests until the end of June after examinations. To do this, complete the Legalisation Request Form below. Make sure the name matches your passport and school records. Requests for Italy must include a copy of your passport’s main page. Legalization comes with an additional fee.
After June, students must complete the process independently through the IB SERVICES REQUEST website (link below).
